Products and Craftsmanship
At CeramicPavilion, we are committed to precision in every aspect of our work. From concept to creation, every step of our design and manufacturing process is handled with the utmost care. Therefore, the creation of each Hand-Painted Ceramics piece is a meticulous, multi-stage journey:
- Material Selection: We begin with the finest grades of clay—porcelain for its whiteness and strength, or specific earthenware for its rustic charm.
- Shaping: Pieces are either thrown on a potter's wheel for symmetry or hand-sculpted for unique organic forms.
- First Firing (Bisque Firing): The shaped "greenware" is fired in a kiln at a high temperature, transforming the fragile clay into a hard, porous material called "bisque."
- Glazing (Base Coat): The bisque ware is dipped or sprayed with a base layer of glaze, which provides a smooth, glass-like canvas for painting.
- Hand-Painting: This is the heart of our process. Our artists use special ceramic pigments to paint designs directly onto the glazed surface. Each stroke is applied by hand, making every piece one-of-a-kind. This requires immense skill, as the pigments appear dull before firing.
- Second Firing (Glaze Firing): The painted pieces are fired again at an even higher temperature. This magical process melts the glaze and fuses the pigments permanently into it, revealing the vibrant, glossy colors that are durable and dishwasher-safe.
- Quality Inspection: Each finished piece is rigorously inspected for quality, ensuring the artistry and integrity meet our exacting standards.
